THE BEGINNING
My
journey began in the mid 1980's when I was introduced to alternative holistic methods of self help, at first as
a client and then as an apprentice under a wonderful Naturopath and teacher, Angela Burr Madsen.
It was then I became aware of the
important role color plays in our health. In those days, the accepted method of color application required clients to lie
on a table under a colored light for an hour each treatment. As a wife and mother
of four, the time commitment was difficult to fit into my hectic lifestyle. I
needed to simplify the process so I thought, “What about glasses?” I
made the first prototype from an old pair of rubber framed sunglasses. I popped
out the lenses, cut new ones out of stained glass, stuck them in the frame, and off I went. It occurred to me that
if I wanted an easier way to implement color therapy in my life then maybe others would too.
I took them to my mentor Angela and asked what she thought. "Great idea!" she said. "I hope you do it!” My deep desire to help people motivated
me to see it through. It was hard work and a lot of research, but I wanted to get it right....and here we are today, still
going and growing.
